Trees from abandoned council nursery are overgrown and threatening 43 Harcourt Way

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 21:14, Saturday 17 August 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

We recently moved in to the property adjoining the old council nursery that has become overgrown.

We've trimmed the lower branches but are not able to deal with the large/high overhanging branches.

Please can you assist. It's impacting our insurance.

  • We have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The overhanging trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by OCC in our capacity as local highway authority. The trees are on land that is maintainable by the District or Town Council and not by the County Council. Please contact your District Council to pursue this matter.
