Deep ledge in road
Reported in the Pothole category by Toby Fenna at 14:23, Saturday 17 August 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
This isn't so much a pothole, rather a ledge in the road.
The ledge is approximately 1" high and spans around 3ft across.
I did report this back on 03/08/2019, however, it seems that the report was not saved under my account for some reason. Hence I am re-reporting this.
When I originally reported the issue, a similar report at the exact same location appeared that was logged over a year ago!
As you will see in the picture, there is a faded blue spray paint line, indicating the issue is supposedly scheduled to be fixed. The line was clearly pained a long time ago and the issue never fixed.
Please get somebody out to fix this as a priority.
The location is where I have pinned it on the map, adjacent to a gate entering a field.
This defect in the road alone managed to take out my driver side lower control arm, driver side strut, driver side strut top mount, offset the wheel alignment majorly (steering wheel significantly points right when driving straight) and also knocked out the adjustment of the lights making it dangerous to drive at night as they now point almost straight down.

If you didn't find the defect, then go back and look again.
Do you think I reported this as a joke or something?
Look along that road. I've done my very best to pinpoint it as accurately as possible. Now it's turn you take some initiative and go and look up and down the road properly to find it.
The person looking clearly can't have looked hard. This ledge is quite significant and wrecked my front nearside suspension setup.
The lines even painted around already. How hard can it be to spot a painted line?!
Send someone back ASAP to get this looked at properly.
I'm happy to go along with a highways agency if they really need it.
