Lights are not turning off at night
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 11:53, Thu 15 August 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
The lights in the residential streets do not turn off at light and despite having curtains the light is very bright and disruptive, especially as it is right outside the window! Not to mention the energy it is wasting being on at night.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding the street lighting outside your property at Chamomile Way The street lighting would be designed to the British Standard, the design would have been carried out by either Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) on behalf of the developer or a third party consultant which OCC would need to approve. This should be carried out at the beginning stages of the legal agreement with OCC but all communications with potential purchasers would be through the developers as they would be installing and maintaining the street lights until at such time the development is adopted as highway. Therefore it is the developers responsibility and you would need to contact them direct regarding the position of this light and any alterations would need to be agreed by the developer and OCC to ensure that the road remains lit to the required levels
