This surfaces on the immediate approach to, and on the Stanton Harcourt roundabout itself are an absolute hazard to motorcycles due to loose gravel. I came off my motorcycle travelling on the B4449 in the direction from Hardwick towards Eynsham at around midday on Sunday 11th August and had to be taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The accident was as a direct result of losing traction on my front wheel due to gravel as I approached the roundabout. Even the current Google maps images of the roundabout clearly show perfectly good tarmac on the roads leading up to the roundabout but the last 3 or 4 metres are a completely different surface, full of loose gravel. I am considering legal action against the council as this is clearly their resposibility.
