Manhole covers in Aylesbury road banging loudly

Reported anonymously at 19:37, Monday 12 August 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 3 minutes later

There are 2 sets of Sewer manhole covers opposite 21 Aylesbury Road that are banging very loudly twice every time a vehicle passes over them. One cover was recently replaced by Thames Water but because of the recent very heavy increase in 40 tonne articulated goods vehicles entering and leaving the wynnstore Countrywise yard turning out into the road the new cover has now tipped up on one corner and is a major hazard to road vehicles and motorcycles also a very distressing nuisance to residents sounding like someone is using a nail gun night and day. Clearly these covers are not fit for purpose and should be replaced ASAP.
