Trees affecting road and pavement use.

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 15:02, Monday 12 August 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

Trees on the verge between the road and pavement are low and affecting road visibility and pavement usage. I believe these are part of title ON223420 owned by OCC. Previous investigation of the same enquiry found that these trees were not the responsibility of OCC, but I believe this to be incorrect. The trees concerned are the 10 closest to the road edge in the attached photo, other trees nearby belong to WODC.

Council ref: ENQ19840246

  • We have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The overhanging trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by OCC in our capacity as local highway authority. The trees are on land that is likely to be maintainable by the Town Council and not by the County Council. They can be contacted at: 01993 704 379

    Many thanks for your enquiry.
