  • Thank you for your enquiry. I have visited the site pinpointed on the map. It appears that this land in front and south side of 6 Ashcroft Close, Botley is owned by and the responsibility of the residents at this property. I have requested a letter be sent to these residents, asking them to cut back their vegetation, overhanging the footway, within 28 days of receipt.

  • Thank you for reporting this issue. I can confirm that most of this is private vegetation, the responsibility of the residents at 6 Ashcroft Close, Botley. They were sent a letter, asking them to cut back their hedge, obstructing the footway, within 28 days of receipt. I have since, however, spoken to one of the residents, who has agreed to cut it back, as soon as the nesting birds have gone. The part of the footway verge, with vegetation obstructing it, that isn't their responsibility, is not the responsibility of Oxfordshire County Council. After checking the land registry it appears this section is the responsibility of the Vale of White Horse District Council. You need to contact them at.
