Overhang the footpath, public road and neighbors' lands

The tree in the front of 74 Longford Way Didcot, Oxon, as reported in summer 2017, is continuing growing bigger and bigger extremely fast. The top part is much heavier and bigger than 2 years ago. The problems with the overgrowing tree are: 1. It lives in a very dense residential area, overhanging the footpath and the street (Longford Way). 2. It blocks sun light to our house and blocks the view in the front of our house 3. It is so tall and so big, having now become a serious hazard to the surrounding houses and people if it falls down during extremely windy seasons.
A very important point must be emphasised: the tree stands in a position outside the front garden owned by the resident in 74 Longford Way. If the hazard happens, no one will take responsibility. Therefore, we strongly request the tree to be removed as a final solution.

We have visited site and assessed the tree in its location. The overhanging tree is on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by Oxfordshire County Council in our capacity as local highway authority. You are advised to contact Land Registry to determine who is responsible for the land on which the tree is growing and therefore, have the responsibility for the trees.
