Large area of road subsiding
Reported in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 07:34, Thu 8 August 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
The utility works in this part of the B4507 have deteriorated markedly in the last month or so. I followed a van that veered suddenly after hitting the patch at about 40mph and would have hit oncoming traffic had there been any at the time. It's dangerous and it's surely only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.

This area needs to be driven over at 40mph or more to understand how hazardous it is. Non-locals driving at night are particularly at risk. Cyclists or motorcyclists wouldn't stand a chance. It's an accident waiting to happen.

To say "Any safety defects will be actioned as per our safety policy" infers that there is a safety policy. I'm not convinced that it's fit for purpose if your operative judged this road to be safe. It is becoming increasingly dangerous.
