This lamp No.12 was reported as 'not working for about 1 week' on 18th July and as outside house 82. The contractor has advised that he fitted a like for like replacement new lamp, a 70w HPS one, and trimmed the tree on 30th July so bringing the unit back into operation with no difference to what was originally installed. Inevitably a new lamp will be brighter than an old degraded one and also if the light has been not working for a few weeks it will of course seem bright compared to the darkness of the night befoire it was repaired, we certainly haven't uprated it. we will look to see if there is some way we can temporarily reduce the nuisance to you but ultimately this and all lights will be changed to LED units. We have a substantial 2 year convesrion programme starting this year to reduce energy and maintenance costs and carbon production.

Good afternoon the street light in questions has a sticker with no7 witch is on the corner of 84 Prescott avenue witch the light unit itself is pointing straight at our children's windows, it is a real inconvenience to us as it was very dim for around 4 years then it was replaced.

Thank you for the follow up.I see which unit you are referring to its lamp 7 Chester Way (on the boundary path). We are coming to Banbary tomorrow to check various items etc and will have a look here. Its a little strange as there is no work showing on the system to that unit, the only nearby work being that unit 12 nearer to house 82, to your left, but quite clearly from your description something has been done...i wonder if they 'turned' the lantern...i will check and react and let you know.

It's a very clean head unit on the lamp and we've lived here 6 years and it's never affected us as it's never been so bright it's always been really dull sometimes not on, but just recently when the other lamp has been done my little girl has said to us they was doing somthing with the light outside ours no7 and not its like the light at Blackpool Tower

Lamp 7 is exactly the same as it has been since it was installed. Historic googleviews show pictures of the lantern facing towards your property and dipped down at the front exactly as it is now and there is no record of any recent work at that unit. However lamp 12 we know was very dull before it failed recently and was shrouded by the tree and thus with a new lamp in that lantern and the tree trimmed we believe it is the light from that which has increased substantially back to what it originally was years ago. We will endeavour to do something about reducing the light coming towards, in particular, your bedroom windows.
