Storm Water does not Reach Road Drains
Reported in the Roads and Carriageways category by Marc Thielke at 19:37, Fri 2 August 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
We have been working on repairing Allens Lane since April and the potholes have been filled and the lower dirt road repaired. A lot of damage is being done just by the rains we have had this summer because the storm water comes down Mill Lane and High Street so that it is near the middle of Allens Lane and hardly any makes it into the first road gully in the picture. We have used sand bags to direct the water and Allens Lane does slope towards the road gully. Is it possible to install a channel drain across the road to catch all the rain water? Other picture shows the route of the majority of rain water. The road gully on Allens Lane is opposite of The Willows.

After drain service elsewhere in the village and parish efforts to dig the edge of the road back there is no longer a problem with excessive water going past the drain at The Willows on Allens Lane. Changed to Fixed
