Erosion by vehicles of bank on corner of Grafton property. Needs to be built up with bricks to stop hedge falling into road
Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 10:41, Wed 31 July 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
The bank on the edge of the grafton property where the road turns to the left to go down past the wood to the crooked billet is seriously eroded by heavy vehicles going round the corner. The whole thing will collapse unless it is built up with bricks/ concrete slabs to re/inforce it

This report is not the responsibility of Oxfordshire County Council & has now been closed. However this enquiry has been passed to the relevant organisation. A site visit was made last week. where I safely met with resident of Grafton at Newlands Lane Stoke Row. I took photo's of the damage to the verge & I have contacted Grundon today on behalf of the resident sending photo's etc as promised. The person I spoke to at Grundon was very sorry to hear this but would investigate & try to resolve this issue. I explained that the resident felt that the damage being caused by Grundon is due to the size/length of the refuse lorry used to collect waste from The Crooked Billet pub/restaurant & cannot get around the sharp 90 degree bend at the bottom of Newlands Lane. I suggested that perhaps they could use a smaller vehicle in the future, the person I spoke to said he would raise this possibility with his managers .To the resident I explained that OCC would not be able to reinforce the verge as this would drastically narrow the width of the already tight corner & that hardly any vehicles would then be able to travel around the bend. Kerbing has already been constructed to the outside of the radius in question to prevent identical damage being caused.
