1m wide 3-4 inch deep hollow in the carriageway

The 1m large square repair performed after the Thames Water (or Gas, can't remember exactly) roadworks earlier this year has dropped in the centre leaving a 3-4 inch hollow in the carriageway

  • This poor water mains repair is shockingly poor. A good 100mm sunken area, that is on the bend and unavoidable for the LH/near side front wheel without risking hitting the kerb or almost straddling the double white centre road lines. Hitting it today caused the front wheel to deflect significantly from the chosen direction. Please ensure the relevant team has the necessary urgency and priority into rectifying this.

  • The sunken area continues to cause noise and property shaking problems. Please repair as a matter of urgency. Water stop cock box has sunk with the repair, only a matter of time before the main ruptures.

  • One can see where the poor work has sunk. This is on the B430

  • Its only getting worse and traffic is now swerving into the opposite lane to avoid which is hugely dangerous.
