Limited light from Lamp Post No. 8 Barford Road
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 17:46, Sun 28 July 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
Last reported October 2016 because tree blocking light from this lamp(no.8). With the summer growth the tree branches and leaves are completely restricting any light to the road and more importantly the footpath. The tree appears to be on the verge which is OCC land? This needs to be cut back asap as further growth will aggravate the situation. Nothing as been done in all this time by either the lighting or tree department
The house next to this lamp post, Meadow House, also has branches over hanging blocking the light and is dangerous to passing pedestrians as the footpath is narrow at this point.
It should be remembered that you need the light from the lamp to light the path but also from a distance to see it to walk towards it. We do not wish to urbanise the path just have access to this lamps light.

This has still not been fixed having first reported it late 2016. Tree branches and overhanging branches from adjacent property need to be cut down, so the light is effective and can be seen from a distance.

Latest report does not relate TO THIS LAMP POST ON THE BARFORD ROAD. This matter remains outstanding since 2016. Reregistered July and chased in August. Can we have time scale for dealing with this matter as 3 years appears to be a long time for a simple solution.
