Dying tree along path

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 11:20, Friday 26 July 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

The tree is dying, with some branches dead due to an infestation of ivy. It could fall down onto the path or onto buildings. Getting worse each year but definitely dying. On the left side of the path, opposite the chapel, about 15 metres up the path.

  • We have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The overhanging trees are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by Oxfordshire County Council in our capacity as local highway authority. You are advised to contact Land Registry to determine who is responsible for the land on which the trees are growing and therefore, have the responsibility for the trees.
