Lightning Conductor Failure
Reported in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 18:15, Mon 22 July 2019
Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
Dear Oxfordshire County Council,
The west facing side of the Codrington Library at All Souls College abuts onto Catte Street and in the paved area at the west corner of the Library there is a Lightning Conductor pit for the Library, (see plan and photos attached). Urgent work is required to install an additional earth rod at the pit site which will involve lifting up the paving in the immediate area of the pit and digging down to install the earth rod. The College contacted the City Works Department in May 2019 as the works require a small section of the public paved highway to be lifted to enable repairs to be effected. Please advise me of a date when the pavement will be lifted, so that our contractors can be on-site to effect the lightning rod repairs and the pavement can be re-instated by City works.
