The pedestrian crossing is often in operation whilst traffic is turning right out of Abbey Close.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
There is no indicator for this traffic to know that the pedestrian crossing is in operation.
I am concerned that the crossing should not be operating at times when it is not safe for pedestrians to cross.

The below report describes a situation when the junction becomes exit blocked. Unfortunately this is something that we have little control over. There is a delay built in to the junctions operation between traffic and the pedestrians. To help minimise the below situation vehicle detection at this site extends this delay. The general layout and operation of this junction is similar to several other examples within the county.

If you cannot affect the crossing timings, please provide an indicator light for traffic turning right that the pedestrian crossing is in operation. This especially applies for cyclists (of which I am one) who take longer to negotiate the turn.

The operation of the Junction has been checked and found to be working as intended without any faults. The timings betwen one approach losing right of way and a conflicting movement (traffic or pedestrian) gaining right of way are in line with current guidence therefore no changes to the junction are planned.
