Road junction flooded
Reported in the Drainage category anonymously at 12:06, Friday 19 July 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
The gully on the corner is blocked as are the two drainage outlets in Chalkhouse Green Road causing the entire width of Kidmore Lane to flood following a torrential downpour this morning . The drain was already blocked . The flooding is causing vehicles approaching the corner to drive on the wrong / shallow water side of the road with the potential of a head on collision with another vehicle turning left into Kidmore Lane from Chalkhouse Green Road.

The road is still flooded the gulleys are all blocked and would be great if someone could come and clear water and debris from gulleys. The road to Sonning Common is not passable on foot. thank yo Sue

Following last nights heavy rain the junction is again partially flooded because basically the gully wasn’t cleaned out after I reported the issue on 19th July. I’ve checked the gully pot and also the adjacent catch pit which is in the pavement a few feet away and both are solid which is obviously why the water just sits . I’ve also cleared the 2 gullies in Chalkhouse Green Road as best possible so they work but they also need clearing by more robust mechanical methods .

The road is still flooded after the rain yesterday, for most of the day the water was across the road, so it was not possible to walk to Sonning Common of those living on the other side of the flood to access the village Please could you send drainage lorry to clear out the gulleys to the pond thank you
