My latest email to BT Openreach on 23 July 2019
"Nearly another 2 months has gone by since I last contacted you and this Section 81 job has still not been completed. I have had another resident update this complaint."
Their latest reply on Tue 23/07 is:
"This defect is still with our contractor Telent Infrastructure Solutions for repair.

I emailed BT Openreach, on 7/10/19, for an update and their latest response is:
"The A1024 was cancelled in September as there is a Section 58 in place until June 2021 and no waiver.
We will be unable to complete this under A1024 process until the Section 58 has expired as there is no safety issue to the public."

For information, I came across this cover yesterday. This is NOT an Openreach cover. If it was it would be stamped BT which it isn't. On retuning to the office I consulted our plant records and there is no Openreach plant in this area. OCC need to make further enquiries.

Thank you for your report. This defective manhole cover was not the responsibility of Oxfordshire County Council and was passed back and forth between BT Openreach and Thames Water for over 2 years, with both denying they owned it. Thames Water have, however, finally claimed ownership and repaired it. I am therefore closing this report.
