The highway boundary marker has been moved on to our property.

Reported anonymously at 22:23, Friday 12 July 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 2 minutes later

The front of our property ( a new build) has had plants and flowers planted in it since we moved in. It is the same size all the way around. With a grass verge between our property and the road that we maintain. We have started the process of pulling the plants up as it is going to be stoned. Tonight we have come home to find the boundary marker moved to the area on our property that we have taken the plants from. This needs to be rectified ASAP as we are to start work on that area in a few weeks. And it will either be dug up or covered with tarp and stones.

  • Thank you for this report. I have spoken to the road agreements team who deal with sites such as these before they become adopted (taken over) by Oxfordshire County Council, Highways. Apparently there is not a legal agreement in place which means an adoption is quite far away, time wise. They have recommended speaking to the developer who should be able to help/advise you. This report is now closed.
