Hedge prevents use of cycle lane

Reported in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 17:15, Thursday 11 July 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

Through Sandford-on-Thames and Littlemore there are several places where the vegetation is hanging metres over the road. As a cyclist with overtaking traffic I get complaining hoots because I'm often out from the kerb. There are give way constrictions for cars with a cycle bypass - on the Northbound side these are pretty much unusable because of overhanging vegetation at the bypass and on it's approach - I'll try and get a photo before you fix it so it can be added to a "Cycling and horticulture" website. Surely there is expertise that knows how fast plants grow and they can be trimmed back to at least a year's growth.
