Dangerous roundabout for pedestrians to cross safley

The roundabout that links the Oxford Road with the Radley Road (photo and map attached) is extremeley dangeorus to pedestrians. With a school (Our Lady's Abingdon) and a huge number of parents crossing with prams and toddlers, it's a challenge to get across safely. Cars drive very fast and as it is a 3-way roundabout, one car will often try and be helpful and give way to the pedestrian (even if they don't have to) and the car approaching from the oncoming lane won't realise and quite rightly drive straight on with pedestrians crossing - it happens requently.
When busy, the line of sight is not good and cars are going too fast. The island stop in the middle of the crossing is very small and barely big enough for a pram to fit. It's a busy hub for pedestrians to cross and I am sure I'm not the only one who feels it is really dangerous and an accident waiting to happen.
I think there badly needs to be a pedestrian crossing (or alternative solution) with lights to make it safer for both motorists, cyclists and foot traffic.

Thank you for your report. We have researched the personal injury accident history for the last five year period and can confirm that there have been no such accidents at this location. I regret that Oxfordshire County Coucil could not fund the installation of a controled crossing at this time.
