Insufficient signage on Stratton Way

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 11:33, Tuesday 25 June 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

There needs to be additional signage on Stratton Way between Bath Street and Stert Street, making it even clearer that it is no longer a one-way system but traffic now flows in both directions. On three occasions I've witnessed a car on the wrong side of the road heading directly into oncoming traffic. There are already arrows on the road but additional signage would be helpful before there is a head-on collision.

  • Thank you for your report. This section of carriageway has now been two-way for many years, the signs and markings are correct for the location and there is no history of personal injury accidents in the last five year period where vehicles have been travelling in the wrong direction, on this basis additional signage is not proposed at this time.

State changed to: No further action
