Safe to cross sound needs to be activated for visually impaired/blind people living in the area on this very busy and dangerous crossing asap

  • The new traffic signal junctions was designed deliberately to have no audible facilities.

    There is no all-round pedestrian phase, which means each pedestrian phase runs in a different stages. For safety, to prevent miss-associating between the crossings (that are in close proximity to each other) audible bleepers have been disabled.

    As standard, the site has tactile cones fitted to the underneath of the push button units to help sensory impaired users.
