Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
The new roundabout is really poorly designed and under engineered. The carriageway is too narrow, it should be self-evident even to our council “engineers” that lorries will struggle to use the roundabout without crossing over the kerbs. The kerbs bordering the roundabout are inadequate and will soon be broken when crossed by a lorry. A disgrace!

Let's hope some real action is taken. This has been paid for by the developer so let's make sure we get our money's worth. The council can and should do better!

There have been nemerous accidents here already where cars cannot make the ridiculously sharp roundabout and end up colliding with the arrows in the centre. And numerous near misses whilst on it. I wrote to the OCC suggesting use of the ready made bridge and a slip road to get to it but heard nothing back. Unnecessary slowing down and hazardous obstacle on what was a free flowing carriageway. Poor decision making.

The chevrons have now (29.7.19) been smashed on the westbound approach to the roundaboutand that side there should be no excuse - all very clear, not like the eastbound approach - dreadful, crashes currently about 3 times a week - not always reported/attended, which is better that every day when new!

The latest crash on this roundabout has resulted in a Mini being abandoned on the side of the roundabout with smashed windows. This is making the roundabout even more dangerous as the road gets narrower toward the exit and cars are forced to move closer to each other to get around.

The crashed Mini on the roundabout (13.8.19) should not be left in its position as it is unlawful for vehicles to stop or be left on a Clearway - the Police have a duty and are responsible for moving it at the time of the crash. The police are at fault here.
