Collapsed access cover

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 17:44, Tue 18 June 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

There is a collapsed access cover in this location, people are avoiding it by driving in the wrong side of the road. It would be prudent to check all the manholes in wardington on the A361 as a number are showing signs where the tarmac is coming out

Council ref: ENQ19835833

    Still open, via questionnaire

  • Absolutely NOT fixed at all. The tarmac has dropped considerably around the drain access cover & the only way to avoid jolting your vehicle is to use the wrong side of the road. Slowing to 5 or 10 mph still jolts the wheel as the vehicle drops and risks major wheel damage. Proper full drain / road repair is required to resolve this.

  • Please, please, please fix this before an accident is caused due to negligence

  • This needs repairing ASAP! Before it damages someone tyre, suspension or causes an accident!

  • Still not fixed - end of September now - there is also a collapsed utilities trench which forces drivers to straddle the middle of the road to avoid or slow down to walking pace to elevate damage to vehicle. This has been like this for MONTHS! With all the HGV traffic using this road and the soon to be increased HS2 traffic this problem really needs sorting.
