With reference to my previous reports 1663880, 1607552 and ENQ 19835092 which related to damage by vandalism to 3 young trees in Moorland Close, Witney. I have today received a response from OCC stating :- " The trees as described in your enquiry are currently part of OCC's enhanced survey schedule. They were last inspected in February this year, and remedial works recommended and shall be carried out in the coming months. Unfortunately on visiting site, one tree appears to have failed and this will now be removed. Many thanks for your enquiry". I fail to see how the trees described in my enquiry can have been included in the remedial works as they were not damaged until 19th April. I strongly suspect that no-one has been out to physically assess the trees since I first reported the damage and I would like a guarantee that the 3 damaged trees have now been included in the aforementioned remedial work. I fear that when the remedial work is carried out "over the coming months", the persons carrying out the work will not have the 3 damaged trees on their list and I will have to start this process all over again. The residents have tried really hard to save these trees and despite our efforts, one of the trees snapped completely in the recent winds. I worry that if repair work is not carried out soon, the remaining trees will suffer the same fate. The trees are located in Moorland Close, Witney, directly opposite nos 19, 21 and 23 on the other side of the road. I have attached the original photos showing the damage.

I have been trying to get OCC to attend to 3 young trees that were damaged by vandals on 19th April 2019. The residents have tried to save the trees by applying splints but one of them unfortunately snapped completely during the recent windy spell. Please can I have a guarantee that the 3 young trees have been added to the already planned remedial work. I am happy to speak to someone from OCC directly if it helps and I can be contacted on the telephone number provided.
