Surface water runs off the main road and down the lane into our garden because the culvert pin marked is blocked and there is insufficient drainage along the main road.

The road crew did not clear the culvert. They scraped up the muck around it and dumped it into the culvert making the problem worse. This still needs attention.

The drain in Main Road on the border between Corner Cottage and Oakleigh Cottage is obviously blocked again – it flooded badly yesterday after the heavy rain. It has become bad enough over the past couple of years to affect the grass at the side of my house (Corner Cottage), which has become sodden and is dying off in the wetter patches. Rain water floods down the lane by The Green past Corner Cottage and Haven Cottage.
