House named “Ashleigh” OX7 6JZ

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 06:35, Monday 17 June 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

There is a very established tree in the front of Ashleigh, much of which is now hanging over the road and electricity cables.Today, with the high winds we are experiencing, I am very concerned that some of the lower hanging heavy branches could snap and fall on Frog Lane, which is now quite a busy road in the village of Milton under Wychwood. As most of this tree now hangs over Frog Lane, and has not been managed by a tree surgeon to keep it under control, I would ask for your help and advice please. If the owners of the tree were to seek professional help from a tree surgeon this tree could be maintained and not become a risk to drivers on Frog Lane.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. OCC’s contractors are qualified to carry out tree works adjacent to the highway. Tree works adjacent to powerlines is a hugely complicated specialism and as such is solely carried out by the designated network operator (power supplier) for the area. Please contact SSEN on: 0800 048 3516 to further your enquiry.

    Many thanks for your enquiry
