Road drain blocked and road flooded

Reported in the Drainage category anonymously at 21:00, Sunday 16 June 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

This gully blocks every time we have any significant rain. It had been reported numerous times and by various people, I have met the highways technician twice and the issue has been reported by them. As you can see the standing water is causing damage to both the road tarmac and private property. Not only the cobbles to the house entrance but also the wall. I have been unable to link this update to my previous report so have started a new one. There are another 4 grips between this blocked gully and the turning to Oaksmere, they all need re-cutting and the gully’s clearing. The most likely problem is roots growing into the drainage system, so once again would recommend cctv and root cutter need to be used. This problem has been on going now for approximately 18-24 months, one questions how useful Fix My Street is if problems take this long to be resolved. 2 potholes have already been filled in this area due to damage caused by sitting water. Please attend this issue as a matter of urgency or explain why nothing is being done,
