Dangerous - overgrown cycle path

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 14:42, Saturday 15 June 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

The cycle path / footpath between Shillingford and Benson is extremely overgrown with very tall plants. I have just witnessed a cyclist swerving to avoid the plants which were blowing into his face, falling off his bike and into the road. The car in front of me had to swerve to avoid the man’s head.

  • Another incident on the foot/cycle path between Shillingford and Benson A4074. Cyclist fell into the main road after swerving overgrowth, friend had to jump onto the main road to stop traffic, if the cyclist was on her own there would have been a fatal accident. I thought walking and cycling was supposed to be encouraged but it certainly isn't along this stretch of path.
