Princes ride, Woodstock

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
I would like to put in a request for a new pedestrian crossing in Woodstock on Princess Ride opposite the notice board by Willoughby way. This is a very busy road in the morning and at school pick up, with people, parking, children crossing etc as many people park in Princes Ride and then walk to the school from there, creating lots of obstacles and with the blind corner this makes the crossing very dangerous. My children will very soon be walking to school as do and will many other children and this is also a blind corner where cars/traffic come very quickly round the corner, I think there is only a matter of time before there is an accident here, so I wondered what can be done to help make this a safer crossing for many children and everyone, on their way to school?

Unfortunately the County have no funding that could be allocated to a scheme like this. If an external source of funding were found and there was sufficient justification in terms of potential use and necessity, then maybe a proposal could be looked at.

There was another incident yesterday 12th March 2021, with my son crossing the road and he nearly got hit by a car can you please relook at putting a crossing here especially as more families are now coming up to schools from Park View? There is loads of traffic, parking, accessing the route and driving too fast round a blind corner, this is main route to schools for many children
