Problem with Gulley outside 29 Park Rd

Reported in the Drainage category by David E Baynham at 20:08, Monday 10 June 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

The gulley outside 29 Park Rd is not functioning properly. This problem is still there. It has been reported many times but never effectively corrected. The rain today 10/6/19 has been steady and persistent but never heavy. Again I am concerned that when there is heavy rain the blocked gully will result in water flowing into my driveway 27 Park Rd with the risk of damage to my house by penetrating the air bricks. Please can you correct this.

  • Thank you for your report. I do not know why you had received an update about this as this report was still open on the Oxfordshire County Council system. Met on site earlier today (27/06) with our contractor who is to clear the root issue from the gully to the chamber in the verge and from this chamber to the chamber in a neighbour's driveway. This work should be completed within the next few days. Pipe lining is expected to be carried out at a later date to prevent this reoccurring, but no time frame given as yet for this work. This report is now closed.

State changed to: No further action
