44-78 Broughton Road in Banbury
Reported in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 07:27, Fri 7 June 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
The trees opposite my house have blocked the line of site due to the height of them which unfortunately means me and my neighbours are struggling to get a TV signal every year between May and October. The road is Broughton Road in Banbury between numbers 44 and 78, the road was closed so the trees were cut back to the fence in April but i was wondering if there is a possibility of them being cut in height to below the height of the houses so we can get a signal again? As you can imagine it is frustrating paying for a TV license without being able to watch it. Please could somebody contact me to discuss this

County Council funds for tree management are limited to health and safety works. The Council is neither obliged by Law, nor will it carry out, works solely to alleviate interference with TV or satellite signal disruption. It maybe that your satellite provider will be able to suggest an alternative solution to the problem, for example relocating the dish or means to boost the signal.
Many thanks for your enquiry

I have been down those routes which is why i am asking if you can help because the trees are too high and close to the houses to get a signal. At some point they will need cutting anyway as they are going to become dangerous when they overflow. Just thought you might be able to help as we pay council tax for this sort of thing......
