Words sprayed on road outside my property ‘Bus Stop’.
Reported anonymously at 18:33, Tue 4 June 2019
Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
There’s a lay-by outside my house which used to be a bus stop until it was moved further along the road some years ago. The bus stop sign has always been away from the lay-by rather than in it. Now found these words ‘bus stop’ sprayed in the lay-by likely done on 3rd or 4th June. I’ve a driveway going out across the lay-by which I had permission from yourselves some years back, so I’m concerned what is planned. There’s been nothing mentioned or placed through my letterbox.

The exact location is on the road, outside 123 and 125 Springfield Avenue Banbury. (There’s the same opposite side of the road, on the even numbered houses).

Please let me know why you haven’t replied to my enquiry. As I work for the local authority I was able to talk with a colleague from OCC. He contacted a colleague in the highways department who replied saying he didn’t know who had painted the words on the road. Only tonight I come back and there’s a crew painted in biggest letters possible Bus Stop with a box around it. I asked the crew were they working for OCC highways which they confirmed, so someone isn’t telling the truth or not communicating back to me and neighbours about this planned work. As mentioned the actual bus stop is located just past the lay-by and not in it. Thanks for not forwarding the residence of the eyesore they’ve painted on the road.
