New drainage ditches on verge

Please could the situation with the new ditches be reviewed. The verge is used by members of the public/walkers who cross the road from the footpath to continue their walk so they do not cross on the tight bend which would be hazardous. Also used by horses and riders along what can be a busy stretch of road so that the traffic can keep moving. The allotment holders have been using the verge as a parking area as it does not affect any sightlines, cars can pull off safely and it would be dangerous and cause a nuisance to park elsewhere especially as there is so little parking in the village.
These new ditches make it potentially dangerous for anyone walking on that side of the road, there are no warning signs or markings make it clear they are there. They are very deep and go a long way into the verge. As the grass is growing they are not clear and someone, be it a walker or horse with rider, could easily fall down one causing themselves a severe injury. There are a number of more eldery allotment holders a serious fall would no doubt cause significant injuries.
In addition having asked local residents the drainage/water flow has never been an issue on that side of the road. There has been flooding due caused by the water flow on the other side of the road. No ditches appear to have been added to that side.
Genuinely I am concerned about people/horse safety, it is an accident waiting to happen.
Kind regards.

Thank you for your report. The verge has services and drainage grips within it and offers no affordable option for conversion to off road parking at this time.
