Recent surface dressing

I sincerely hope you're not considering paying Hazel and Jefferies for the so called surface dressing of the road from Rowstock to Harwell (A4185)
Talk about papering over the cracks!!!
The previous road defects, i.e. potholes, dips in the road, sunken trenches across the road, etc hadn't been rectified before laying down a fresh layer of loose chippings.
What an absolute bodge!!!
A child could have down better with some Plasticine.
It now looks like they are going to carry out the same bodge on the A417 between Lains Barn and West Hendred where there are umpteen potholes, as well as sunken drains - some of which have already been reported on here several months ago, but still not repaired.
Hazel and Jefferies = complete cowboys.

What an absolute bodge, this road resurfacing is a complete wast of funds, no potholes badly filled in trenches or other defects have been repaired just covered over with this old outdated method of chippings, why don't you resurface road correctly ?

And the award for dumbness answer of the week goes to OCC.
Has anyone ACTUALLY visited the location to see how bad the road is?
Before it had a surface dressing, there were numerous pot holes, sunken trenches the full width of the road, sunken drain covers, and other road defects.
Noe of these defects were rectified before the surface dressing was applied.
What an absolute joke!!!!!

When is this bodge of an attempt of road surface dressing going to be completed as there are still lines of chipping in the centre of the road and along the edges no line painting has been replaced and pot holes are starting to get worse, This road like others in the area is a total mess.

Dear Mr Whiting,
It's probably best to submit a new report on this as OCC tend to ignore follow up posts to original reports.
That goes for anyone else too. Please submit a fresh report on this, (the shambles of the A4185) and any other road come to that.
If enough of us do it, then OCC 'might' eventually take notice.
Thanks.

Still varying amounts of loose chippings scattered the full distance of the A4185 between Rowstock and Chilton. Especially bad as you go up the hill from Rowstock toward Chilton, in the centre of the road at Harwell where you turn off to the shops / childrens nursery (Curie Avenue), and at the edges of the road and in the middle. of the road. 0 out of 10 for effort OCC.

Still plenty of loose chips left lying on this road that haven't YET been SWEPT up!!!
Fed up getting my paintwork chipped on a daily basis after the work which was carried out by a bunch of cowboys.

Well after all the money that was wasted on this bodge of a job there are now signs that there are going to be road works for 20 weeks on a certain part of this road so it looks like the road is going to be dug up, what an absolute wast of tax payers money why could the resurfacing not be done until after the road works ??????

This road still resembles that of a 3rd world Country. In fact, it's actually worse.
