Traffic sign

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 09:30, Thu 30 May 2019

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

There is a huge yellow traffic sign for warning of congestion due to the road race which was held 2 weeks ago. This huge sign is in the middle of the road between St Aldates police station and the Court. Surely after 2 weeks someone could take it down. It is an unnecessary eyesore!!

  • The huge sign is still there advertising an event which took place over 3 weeks ago. In your previous reply to me on May 30th you wrote that the sign would be removed. Is this ever likely to happen?

  • This is the 3rd time I have reported the sign for the event on May 11th. So it has been up for nearly 5 weeks. IT is disgraceful that no one has removed it and gives a bad impression to visitors travelling into Oxford. It is an eye sore. Please get it removed.

I have reported this 3 times and written to the CC twice and the sign was still up yesterday June 24th. Please could you arrange for it to be taken down. It gives a terrible impression to visitors and is an eyesore on St Aldates
