Safety concerns for pedestrians

A few of the residents in Vauxhall barracks have identified a hazard whilst trying to cross the road outside of camp. Usually we have prams or children with us and in order to access town we need to cross this road but there is no pedestrian crossing. The only crossing is further up the road by the round about but this is very far. As you can imagine this road is very busy and we often wait a long time. Could anything be done about this? Many thanks

Thank you for your report. We have previously installed 'wig-wag' flashing lights either side of the crossing point at peak times to bring drivers attention to pedestrians wishing to cross the carriageway, I regret that there is no funding available to install a formal pedestrian crossing at this time.
