Steep dropped kerb

Reported in the Pavements category anonymously at 07:44, Monday 20 May 2019

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

There is an exceptionally steep dropped curb outside 45 Sandfield Road which presents a hazard for wheelchairs, [and pedestrians when wet or icy]. It also snags the underside of vehicles entering the property, as evidenced by gouged pavement. We would like an inspection to see what could be done to remedy this please.

  • Thank you for your report. We have assessed it and found that there are currently no defects within the area of the footway. This is not a crossing point for wheel chair users (there being no matching kerb on the opposite side of the road). We only maintain the highway, and are not able to fund any reconstruction of this area.

State changed to: No further action
