Loose kerb stones opposite a grade 1 listed church causing a tripping hazard.
Reported in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 10:36, Mon 13 May 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
These kerb stones are continually being knocked out and dislodged by a number of heavy vehicles (including refuse collection vehicles) that navigate a narrow corner and always drive over the corner kerb. The dislodged stones are a tripping hazard for the many people who walk down Church Street. The church is in constant use and open to visitors every day. It is also a venue for exhibitions and concerts in addition to church services, weddings and funerals. It needs to be repaired with a metal kerb as this is a constant problem and previous repairs last only a matter of a few weeks. The church will be open during Oxford Art Weeks from Saturday 18th until Monday 27th May.

Thank you for the repair that was carried out by several workmen on Wednesday 15/05/19. Unfortunately, the refuse vehicle drove over the kerb on the morning of 16/05/19 and dislodged one of the stones. As this is a recurring theme, perhaps a metal kerb may be a more long term and cost effective solution?
