Incredibly poor surface
Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 18:17, Sat 11 May 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
The surface at this junction is terrible. Bumps/ splits holes and a completely unacceptable road. A bit like a washboard. Very deformed. It must be very dangerous for cyclists and is very. uncomfortable for motorists

Well...the small pot holes have been filled... but the deformed surface and cracks remain!... not what I would call "fixed" at all!

I would agree with this - I have to use this road everyday (resident of Kingsway) and the junction of Kingsway and Mewburn road is horrendous. Putting a small amount of filler that will be quickly washed away is not 'fixed'. Of course it is expensive but the road needs competently stripping, levelling and resurfacing. I think some residents are seriously considering claims for wear and tear on vehicles.

Well it’s that time of year again when I put a complaint in about the embarrassing condition of Kingsway/ mewburn road junction. As I’ve stated 3 or 4 times it’s NOT THE POTHOLES that are the problem it’s the whole surface. It has a rippled effect and when hgv’s go over it my house actually shakes as do my neighbours! There are resurfacing works all over Banbury at the moment so why is this problem always ignored?? Any reply gratefully received. Darren.
