Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 6 minutes later
I have noticed that the Yellow No parking is going to be renewed. Is the road being resurfaced before this is done or are you only doing the painting. When this is completed are you going to control the 4 hour parking restrictions in Old Place Yard as people park here all day on double yellow lines on bends so making it difficult for delivery’s driver and locals who live here.
In November 2015 a meeting was held with Residents, Willmott Dixon and the Council and at the meeting we brought up the car parking problem in Old Place Yard as people who work in the Town Centre and Bicester Village park here all day and the residents find it hard to park when they return home from work. We were told that it would become a Residents parking area when the development was finished. I have tried to find out when this would happen to be informed that they cannot find any information regarding this but as you can see in the Resident Letter Q7 it was discussed.
I sent Sanctuary Housing an email saying I have been in contact with Cherwell District Council regarding Resident Parking in Old Place Yard and they have informed me as below that Old Place Yard is not included but I can see that the 4 hour parking signs have been removed and a Resident Parking sign has been put up by Sanctuary housing. Cherwell District Council (CDC) only manage the current Residents parking scheme in Bicester and Old Place Yard is not included in the Residents Parking scheme managed by CDC. Parking in Old Place yard does not fall under the Council’s jurisdiction, and it may be that you will have to contact Sanctuary Housing to establish who this parking area is referring to. Can you confirm and supply
