Unauthorised vehicular crossing for a housing development is affecting highway drainage and a danger to cyclist.

A housing developer placing concrete in front of kerbs and driving over a footpath not designed to carry heavy lorries and blocking the drainage channel for the past number of months is not acceptable. Please take action.

  • Thank you for this report. I have received a reply from the Road Agreements Team which is as follows. The concrete ramp in front of the full height kerb is only temporary to get construction traffic in and out of the development. There will be a formal bell mouth access into site to serve the new development however because the S278 agreement hs not been completed and signed these works cannot be carried out on the Highway. As soon as the agreement is in place this ramp will be removed and construction of the new access will commence. This report is now closed
