Poorly resurfaced road

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 17:07, Thu 25 April 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

Sections of the A4260 between Hopcrofts Holt and the dual carriageway have been resurfaced recently. I'd like to know why the work was carried out as the road surface is now even more bumpy than it was before, the northbound side is particularly bad. To be honest I can't remember thinking it needed repairing, I drive along there daily.

  • Thank you for your observations. The patching work is preparation work for surface dressing due to take place in June 2019. The work is similar to what occurred on the A4260 Deddington side of dual carriageway last year. The final finish will be a lot better and provide a better skid resistant, and waterproof surface less prone to potholes for the next few years.
