Sitting in a house in Oakthorpe Rd watching cyclists regularly travelling the 'wrong way' down what I believe is a one-way road. They are cycling from the Banbury Rd/Summertown directon to the Woodstock Road. To cap that a car has just driven past the house in the direction of Woodstock Rd from Banbury Rd. There are no entry signs at the junction of Oakthorpe Rd and Oakthorpe Place but cyclists in particular seem to ignore this. Some ride on the pavement whilst travelling in the wrong direction. As someone who regularly drives along Oakthorpe Rd I find this quite dangerous. Please could 'no entry' signage be improved.

  • Thank you for your report. However, this is an enforcement issue that can only be dealt with by Thames Valley Police. We will however check that the two no entry signs on the western arm of the junction between Oakthorpe Road and Oakthorpe Place are still in place next time we are in the area.

However, if you already know that one of these signs is already missing please feel free contact us as this would speed up the resolution of any problem
