Pave my surface worn, broken, uneven and hazardous. Caused by son to have very nasty fall today (not for the first time here).
Reported in the Footways and Pavement damage category anonymously at 11:01, Thu 25 April 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
Pavement surface in terrible state, culminating in my 6 year old son having a nasty fall off his scooter due to the broken and uneven surface. Photos not yet taken but can be provided. The pavement on this stretch of road is too narrow (due to some residents’ overgrown hedges protruding onto the pavement) but also the surface is a significant trip hazard in several places and desperately needs resurfacing before someone is seriously hurt.

This report was done in a rush last night, having spent most of the evening patching up our son who has two grazed knees and a badly gashed hand (which may yet need hospital treatment). Annoyingly he has slipped/tripped in this same location previously so we must bring it to your attention and demand rectification. This no’s a well-used path for children and parents on their way to junior school. Not only is the surface condition appalling, the path runs alongside a fast road where speeding is a significant concern (traffic calming measures are required). To further increase the hazard, some residents have allowed their boundary hedging to become overgrown, making the path far too narrow in places. The combination of these factors makes this very hazardous to pedestrians (especially the young, elderly or vulnerable) and I would urge priority action. Thank you.

This report has been closed. However I have raised an issue to be fixed outside no 58 Wallingford Road and have passed to the relevant team for consideration for future programmed works to resurface path between Elvendon and Springhill Road. Thank you.
