Vehicle obstructing turning into road causing a hazard and destroying the grass verge
Reported in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 10:36, Tuesday 23 April 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
This vehicle is constantly parked on the turning into Larkdown off Springfield Road, causing obstruction and a hazard to other vehicle users. It is an accident waiting to happen! The police have been notified several times as to the risk involved with this selfish parking but the issue has not been improved. Furthermore the grass verge is being churned up and destroyed which ultimately is OCC owned and therefore responsible for it's maintenance! Please do something about this as many other residents have complained about the hazard! Thank you!

Thank you for your report. The installation of formal waiting restrictions (yellow lines) requires the implementation of a 'Traffic Regulation Order' which involves a long and expensive legal process including full consultation, I regret that Oxfordshire County Council could not fund such a scheme at this time. If a vehicle is parking in a dangerous position it is committing an offence under Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 which is enforced by Thames Valley Police. I will ask the local Highways Officer to visit the site to assess the damage to the verge.
State changed to: No further action
