In order to clean the culvert a substantial are of the ditch will also need clearing both up and down stream of the structure. this is undertaken by the riparian owner.

The upstream riparian owner has already undertaken extensive clearing of quite a long section of the stream (ditch). The stream (ditch) downstream of the culvert under Cottesmore Lane runs through the grounds and within the boundary of a private property, The Old Mansion.
