Long rut in the road makes cyclists fall off
Reported in the Pothole category by Justin Greenhalgh at 14:33, Saturday 13 April 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
For more than two months there has been a gradual failure of the backfill in a trench. The result is that at one side there is a deep rut just the right size for a bicycle tyre, running along the road. I fell on the kerb; others will be less lucky.

Sorry the photos didn't get through; I've tried again to include them. The problem is that a backfilled trench running along the road is starting to fail along the edges - in one area this has led to a narrow gutter a couple of meters long. My trye went in it, and once that happens it is pretty much impossible not to fall off the bike. I was lucky; I fell onto the grass verge. If I'd gone the other way into he road it could have been quite nasty.
